Walt Whitman: Going for the Gold!

Second graders are going for the gold in 2026!  In honor of the 2026 Winter Olympics, this is a perfect time for us to set our sights on some personal goals and achievements we have set for the coming year. To kick off the opening ceremonies, we crafted the Olympic rings, wrote down our personal “going for the gold” thoughts.

We learned some Olympic history, built our own sporting events using STEAM, out of everyday materials and will test them out and revise and improve them if necessary. Learning about the events that go on in the world around us, grow our knowledge, help us become better students and perform to the best of our abilities.
