Full Steam Ahead at Walt Whitman’s Science Bonanza

Each year, Walt Whitman students have the opportunity to show their unique scientific talents by becoming creative scientists. Each Science Bonanza participant discovered a problem, envisioned solutions, designed the best prototype, and communicated their ideas in innovative ways. Many of our participants tapped into the school-wide PARP theme, “Out of This World,” and created projects associated with space and our universe. They also built upon our Student Council event, “Kids Heart Challenge,” and modeled ways to keep our hearts, bodies, and brains healthy. With 249 participants, there was something for everyone! It was a great day filled with engineering, curiosity, and inquiry!
